Fuzzy-ZRP: An Adaptive MANET Radius Zone Routing Protocol

نویسندگان

چکیده

A Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a group of active mobile nodes wirelessly connected in self-configuring and self-healing network without preexisting centralized infrastructure. Several studies have been conducted to improve the stability lifetime routes for communicating between source destination nodes, integrating new techniques with existing protocols. This paper presents fuzzy-based approach performance standard Zone Routing Protocol (ZRP) by selecting optimal value zone radius. Each node has fuzzy inference system that periodically fed parameters, such as remaining energy mobility node, calculate routing radius, which makes autonomous intelligent. The simulation results obtained using NS-2 simulator showed proposed radius outperformed ZRP, OVBAZRP, PSOZRP protocols all measures considered: PDR, NRL, E2ED.

Zone Routing Protocol (ZRP)

Routing protocols for mobile ad-hoc networks have to face the challenge of frequently changing topology, low transmission power and asymmetric links. Both proactive and reactive routing protocols prove to be inefficient under these circumstances. The Zone Routing Protocol (ZRP) combines the advantages of the proactive and reactive approaches by maintaining an up-to-date topological map of a zon...

Fuzzy Energy based Routing Protocol for MANET

The main problem concerning laptops and handheld devices is the limited battery power, their batteries lifetime have a significant impact on the performance of ad hoc networks since nodes in ad hoc networks need to relay their packets through other nodes. In this paper, fuzzy controllers take number of hops, packet queue occupancy, and remaining energy along the paths into account while picking...

Scalable unidirectional routing with zone routing protocol (ZRP) extensions for mobile ad-hoc networks

♣ This work was done when the author was with HRL Laboratories, LLC. AbstractAd-Hoc Networks consist of peer-to-peer communicating nodes that are highly mobile. As such, an ad-hoc network lacks infrastructure and the topology of the network changes dynamically. The task of routing data from a source to a destination in such a network is challenging. Several routing protocols have been proposed ...

Analyzing Zone Routing Protocol in MANET Applying Authentic Parameter

Routing is the main part of wireless adhoc network conventionally there are two approaches first one is Proactive and another one is Reactive. Both these approaches have some substantial disadvantage and to overcome hybrid routing protocols designed. ZRP (Zone Routing Protocol) is one of the hybrid routing protocols, it takes advantage of proactive approach by providing reliability within the s...
